Under the Sea

DESCRIPTION

The shimmering blues of this boulder opal reflect the softened light that trickles down to the coral-filled tropical shallows of the sea. Natural inclusions in the stone depict the profile silhouette of an Angel Fish. Glowing gold stripes flow along the length of the fish body to hold the brilliant mandarin garnet eye in place while gold tendrils grow up from the sea bed to complete the picture of a marine paradise in the calm beneath the waves. The pendant is strung on four strands of faceted tanzanite beads and fastened with a bespoke Astratelli clasp in 18ct gold.

INSPIRATION

The inspiration for this piece came from the beauty of the stone itself, which so naturally suggested the form of a fish under the sea.
