Break of Day Studs

DESCRIPTION

The moment when the sun reaches over the horizon to break a new day is always precious in the wonderful colours it creates and the stillness of the air. This set in 18 carat yellow gold with citrines, pink sapphires and green tourmaline recalls this special moment and harks back to the Homeric epithet of the ‘rosy-red fingers of dawn’. 

INSPIRATION

This set was inspired by the many breathtaking sunrises I have seen in the mountains and my fondness as a Classics scholar for Homer’s reference to the ‘rosy-red fingers of dawn’.
